Opening hours
April 1 to September 30
10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
October 1 to March 31
10 a.m. - 5.15 p.m.
Closed on Mondays
Please note: in case of bad weather, the Château d'If is not open.
Closed on January 1, May 1 and December 25.
The Chateau d'If will be exceptionnaly closed October 15.

The rates announced below are valid from January, 1 2024.

Boarding from the Vieux Port (lower Cannebière)
Shipping companies:
- Calanques If (April to November): possibility of purchasing admission to the château at the same time as the crossing.
- Frioul If boat (year-round): the ticket for the château visit is payable on arrival at the site.

Visit conditions
- It is forbidden to drink alcohol, to throw stones at the gulls and to throw stones from the ramparts and terraces.
- Swimming prohibited
- Knives and aerosols are prohibited
There are no lockers on the island. Suitcases and large backpacks are prohibited. - If Island is part of the Calanques National Park. It is forbiden to throw up your waste on the island. Please note that there are no trash cans on the island !
Access
- Fairly uneven terrain. Ground can be slippery: bring appropriate footwear.
- Be aware of the heat in summer.
